CITY OF DUBLIN
October 25, 2017
The October 25, 2017 meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was called to order at
7:00 PM at the Dublin Senior Center by Committee Member Liu.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by the Commission, Staff and those present.
ROLL CALL
Committee Members (CM) Present: Brakeman, Bray, Furtado, Goel, Huang, Kolan, Liu,
Matheny, Mitr, Nuruddin, Peram, Sharma, Tran, Yao Xiao
Committee Members Absent: Dhillon, Padakandla
Liaison Absent: Butler, Parks and Community Services Commission Liaison
Staff Present: McPherson, Dublin Police Officer Blaylock

3.1 Public Comments – None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
4.1 Minutes of the September 27, 2017 Regular Meeting
On a motion by CM Liu, seconded by CM Kolan, and by a vote of 14-0-0, with Committee
Members Dhillon and Padakandla absent, the Youth Advisory Committee voted to approve the
minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 27, 2017, as presented.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS – None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None.
NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Tree Lighting Ceremony
Recreation Supervisor, Lisa McPherson, presented the Staff Report. Committee Members
Nuruddin and Brakeman emphasized the importance for Committee Members to volunteer and
assist Staff at the event.
ACTION
The Advisory Committee received the Report.
7.2 2018 Dublin Benefit Concert Timeline and Work Plan
Recreation Supervisor, Lisa McPherson, presented the Staff Report. Committee Member Peram
discussed last year’s Benefit Concert. Committee Members discussed establishing the 2018
Dublin Benefit Concert Timeline and Work Plan.

By a vote of 14-0-0, with Committee Members Dhillon and Padakandla absent, the Youth
Advisory Committee took the following action:
ACTION
Voted to elect Youth Advisory Committee Members Furtado, Huang and Matheny to serve on
the 2018 Dublin Benefit Concert Subcommittee.
7.3 Tri-Valley Youth Advisory Committee Roundtable Event
Recreation Supervisor, Lisa McPherson, presented the Staff Report. Committee Members
Nuruddin, Brakeman, Tran and Kolan emphasized the importance for Committee Members to
attend the roundtable event.
ACTION
The Advisory Committee received the Report.
OTHER BUSINESS
The Advisory Committee Members provided brief reports on upcoming events.
ADJOURNMENT
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:53 PM.
