CITY OF DUBLIN
February 24, 2016
The February 24, 2016 meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was called to order 7:00 PM at the
Dublin Senior Center by Chair Bedi.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Chair Bedi led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL
Committee Members (CM) Present: Alini, Bedi, Meghan Butler, Nicki Butler, Goel, Marquez, Nuruddin,
Won, Wong, Rajikumar, Tran
Committee Members Absent: Sophie Butler, Nunez, Shah, Sher, Tomlinson
Liaison Present: Giannini, Parks and Community Services Commission Liaison
Staff Present: McPherson, Dublin Police Officer Blaylock

3.1 Public Comments – None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
4.1 Minutes of the January 23, 2016 Special Meeting
On a motion by Chair Bedi, seconded by CM Nicki Butler, and by a vote of 9-0-0, with Committee
Members Sophie Butler, Nunez, Shah, Sher and Tomlinson absent, the Youth Advisory Committee voted
to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting of January 23, 2016 as presented. Advisory Committee
Members Alini and Won were not present for the vote.
4.2 Minutes of the January 27, 2016 Regular Meeting
On a motion by CM Bedi, seconded by CM Meghan Butler, and by a vote of 10-0-0, with Committee
Members Sophie Butler, Nunez, Shah, Sher and Tomlinson absent, the Youth Advisory Committee voted
to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 27, 2016 as presented. Advisory Committee
Member Won was not present for the vote.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS – None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None.
NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Dublin Pride Week
Ms. Lisa McPherson, Recreation Supervisor, presented an overview of the Dublin Pride Week activities
and requested the Youth Advisory Committee assist in promoting the activities and volunteer during the
Dublin Pride Week.

ACTION
The Advisory Committee received the report.
7.2 Recruitment Process for the 2016-2017 Terms for Youth Advisory Committee and
Student Representative to the Parks and Community Services Commission
Ms. Lisa McPherson, Recreation Supervisor, presented an overview of the Recruitment Process for the
2016-2017 Terms for Youth Advisory Committee and Student Representative to the Parks and
Community Services Commission and recommended current Youth Advisory Committee Members
consider applying and encourage other youth to apply.
ACTION
The Advisory Committee received the report.
OTHER BUSINESS
The Advisory Committee Members were provided with a copy of the amended Youth Advisory
Committee Bylaws.
Staff introduced Parks and Community Services Commissioner, Joseph Giannini who is the Alternate
Liaison to the Youth Advisory Committee.
The Advisory Committee Members provided brief reports on meetings attended and upcoming events.
ADJOURNMENT
Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 7:15 PM.
