A Regular Meeting of the Dublin Youth Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday,
January 25, 2023, at the Dublin Senior Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00
PM by Esha Shenoy, Committee Vice Chairperson.

2.1 Public Comment
Susan Gardner, Teen Librarian, reported on the teen programs, different events being
held at the Dublin Library and the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the opening of the
Dublin Library on April 1, 2023.

3.1 Approval of the November 16, 2022, Youth Advisory Committee Special
Meeting Minutes.

The Committee approved the December 21, 2022 Youth Advisory Committee
Special Meeting Minutes.

4. Unfinished Business
4.1 2023 Hackathon Event Work Plan and Ad Hoc Committee Appointments
Liz Elliott, Recreation Supervisor, presented the 2023 Hackathon Event Work Plan and
the appointment of the Ad Hoc Committee for discussion.
The Committee approved the Youth Hackathon Work Plan and appointed Esha Shenoy,
Kavin Berry, Aakrisht Mehra, Ishita Prasad, Mahidhara Sudeendra, and Braden Ou to
the Youth Hackathon Ad Hoc Committee.
4.2 Post-Event Discussion of Youth Mental Health Forum
The Committee discussed the 2022 Yoth Mental Health Forum and received the report.
5. New Business
5.1 Recruitment Process for the 2023-24 Youth Advisory Committee
Liz Elliott, Recreation Supervisor, presented the recruitment process for the 2023-24
Youth Advisory Committee for discussion.

5.2 Discussion of Volunteer Assignments for Spring Events
The Committee discussed volunteer assignments at the St. Patrick’s Day Festival and
the Spring Eggstravaganza. The following Committee Members committed to
volunteering at the St. Patrick’s Day Festival: Esha Shenoy, Kavin Berry, Chloe Brandt,
Irene Chi, Neel KarurParekh, Anika Kolan, Aakrisht Mehra, Mahidhara Sudeendra,
Gabriella Gazman. The following Committee Members committed to volunteering at
the Spring Eggstravaganza: Chloe Brandt, Irene Chi, Anika Kolan, Krittika
Senthilkumar, Mahidhara Sudeendra, Gabriella Gazman.
5.3 Discussion of Participation in the Tri-Valley Teen Job and Career Fair
The Committee discussed the Tri-Valley Teen Job and Career Fair. The following
Committee Members volunteered to attend the event: Esha Shenoy, Irene Chi, Neel
KarurParekh, Yma Santos, Mahidhara Sudeendra.
6. Other Business
Advaith Krishna Anoop Krishna, PCSC Student Representative, and Liz Elliott,
Recreation Supervisor, discussed the December meeting of the Parks and Community
Services Commission and provided updates to the Committee.
Committee Member, Chloe Brandt, spoke about volunteering at the tree lighting
ceremony. She also attended the City Council meeting where Council member Kumagi
left and the swearing in of the new City Council member, Kashef Qaadri.
Liz Elliott, Recreation Supervisor, let the Committee know that City Council approved
the motion to award all mini-grants the Youth Advisory Committee recommended.
7. Adjournment
Chairperson Maskey adjourned the meeting at 8:25 PM.
