REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 19, 2021
A Regular Meeting of the Dublin Parks and Community Services Commission was held
on Monday, April 19, 2021, remotely via Zoom Video Communications. The meeting was
called to order at 7:00 PM, by Commission Chair Matthew Giller.

7.1. Senior Center Ballroom Naming
La Shawn Butler, Parks and Community Services Director, presented the specifics of
the item as outlined in the Staff Report and then invited Commissioners’ questions.
Chair Giller opened the floor for questions and the Commissioners discussed the
names presented.
The Commission recommended Alamilla Springs Ballroom as the first choice, with
Crossroads Ballroom and Eddie Jo Mack Ballroom as runner ups.

7.2. Future Community Park near Wallis Ranch Development – Community Input
Process Status Report
La Shawn Butler, Parks and Community Services Director, introduced Rosemary
Alex from Public Works to give a presentation on the project listed in the Staff Report.

Residents from the Wallis Ranch Community were invited to give input after the
presentation.
7.3. Annual Presentation by Youth Advisory Committee
Bridget Amaya, Parks and Community Services Assistant Director, presented the
specifics of the item as outlined in the Staff Report and then invited Commissioners’
questions.
8. Other Business
The Commissioners provided brief informational reports about other events and meetings
attended.
9. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
