A Regular Meeting of the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission was held on Thursday,
May 13, 2021, remotely via Zoom Video Communications. The meeting was called to
order at 7:02 AM, by Chairperson Gina Gabriell.

specifics of the item as outlined in the Staff Report.
5. New Business
5.1 Selection of City of Dublin Poet Laureate
La Shawn Butler, Director of Parks and Community Services presented the
specifics of the item as outlined in the Staff Report.
Each candidate read a poem from their work and answered questions from the
commission.
Speaker slips were submitted, and there was a total of four (4) speakers.
The commission voted to appoint James Moorehead as poet laureate.
The Commission voted to approve the Consent Calendar.

5.2 Utility Box Art Selection
Tyler Phillips, Heritage and Cultural Arts Supervisor, presented the specifics of
the item as outlined in the Staff Report.
The commission voted to move forward with the top ten (10) utility boxes.
The Commission voted to approve the Consent Calendar.
