SUBJECT:Recognition of the Altamont Cruisers Car Club and the Bilich Family for their Donations to Dublin Police ServicesPreparedby:Nate Schmidt,Captain Dublin Police Services
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:The City Council will recognize the Altamont Cruisers Car Club and the Bilich Family for their recent donations of $1,400 and $1,000, respectively. The donations will be used for operating supplies and training for the Crime Prevention Unit.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:Formally accept the donations and present certificates of recognition to each donor.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:Upon acceptance of the donations, Staff will reflect the $2,400 in both revenue and expenditures in the Fiscal Year 2021-22 Police Services Budget.
DESCRIPTION:In January of 2022, Sergeant Chris Shepard attended a meeting with the Altamont Cruisers Car Club on behalf of Dublin Police Services. At the meeting, the Altamont Cruisers presented him a check for $1,400 to assist with ongoing youth programs. The funds will be used for supplies to support both the DARE program and the Bicycle Safety Program. The funds were made available as a result of profit the Altamont Cruisers Car Club made from their annual car show.In January of 2022, Dublin Police received a letter and check in the amount of $1,000 from Anthony and Angela Bilich. The letter indicated that the Bilich family wanted to provide the donation in support of youth programs. In particular, their wish is to assist in programs that will continue to foster and reinforce positive relationships between Dublin Police Services and the community.The funds received will be utilized to assist with both the DARE program and

supplies for Red Ribbon Week.
