STAFF RECOMMENDATION:Recognize the 2021 sponsors. FINANCIAL IMPACT:The City received $49,300 in cash sponsorships and $8,200 in in-kind sponsorships in 2021. Sponsorships help offset the cost of producing special events and operating City programs and facilities, reducing the overall impact on the General Fund. DESCRIPTION:Through its Donation and Sponsorship Policy, the City invites and encourages local businesses and corporations to partner as sponsors of the City, providing cash or in-kind contributions to support City events, programs, and facilities, in exchange for appropriate sponsorship recognition. Sponsors who contributed in 2021 are listed in Attachment 1. The City Council does not need to take any action beyond recognizing the sponsors. According to the Donation and Sponsorship policy adopted by the City Council in 2017, the City Council is only required to formally accept donations above $45,000.
