DESCRIPTION: In accordance with City Council directions, Staff has
contacted a number of commercial artists to ascertain
their interest in designing a City seal and logo for
the City of Dublin. A total of 5 artists were interviewed
by 'Staff and Councilmember Burton. As part of the
interview process, the portfolio of each artist was
reviewed, and each artist was asked to make a proposal
for the development of a City seal and logo which would
be camera ready for printing of letterhead, envelopes
and business cards. Proposal costs ranged from $500
to $2500. It was the consensus of Staff and Cm. Burton
that Mr. Frank Uhlig had the technical qualifications
to provide the City with an acceptable final product.
Mr. Uhlig indicated that he would charge the City $500
for his services.
If the City Council concurs with Staff's recommendations,
Mr. Uhlig would present the City Council with a number of
preliminary conceptual designs for its consideration
within the next few weeks.
