RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Planning Commissioner to fill the remainder of
Tom Richard's term. •
FINANCIAL -STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION:
At its meeting of July 12, 1982 the City Council authorized
Staff to advertise the Planning Commission vacancy created
by Tom Richards. A total of eleven individuals either
reactivated their old applications or made new applications.
As part of the selection process each Councilperson selected
three candidates from the list of eleven candidates and
assigned a point value to each. Staff has tallied the
results of this initial screening and the following individuals
were the highest vote getters: James B. Kohnen, Eddie Jo Mack
and Michael J. Scanlon, Jr.

It is Staff's recommendation that the City Council appoint an
individual to fill the unexpired term of Tom Richards, which
will expire in May, 1986.
