FINANCIAL STATEMENT : $44 ,500 is available in the 1988-93 Capital
Improvement for this project
DESCRIPTION .
In the 1988-93 Capital Improvement Program
funds were budgeted for construction of City Entrance Signs at the
following locations: (1) San Ramon Road at I-580 offramp, (2) San
Ramon Road at Alcosta Boulevard, (3) Dougherty Road at I-580 offramp,
(4) Village Parkway at Kimball Avenue, and (5) Dougherty Road at the
' northerly City limit line. The landscape architectural firm of Singer
and Hodges, Inc. was retained by the City to develop designs for the
signs and well as prepare bid specifications.
Preliminary designs for each of the five locations have been developed_
for review and approval by the City Council. It is therefore
recommended that the City Council take the following action:
1. Receive presentation from Singer & Hodges
2 . Approve designs or provide Staff and the Consultant
with further direction
3 . Authorize Consultant to proceed with preparation of
bid specifications based on approved designs
