HomeMy WebLinkAbout7.1 Rotary Club Craft Festival Banners CITY OF DUBLIN AGENDA STATEMENT CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: September 26 , 1983 SUBJECT Banner Installation - Rotary Club Arts & Crafts Festival EXHIBITS ATTACHED Letter from Dublin Rotary Club dated September 22 , 1983 n� RECOMMENDATION Consider installation of banner September 27th through October 9th and waive permit and inspection fees FINANCIAL STATEMENT: `linimal - Will utilize a few hours of Staff time to issue permit and follow-up DESCRIPTION The Dublin Rotary Club is holding their annual Arts & Crafts Festival on October 9 , 1983 , and is requesting the use of and approval for their installation of a banner noticing this festival . The banner would be mounted on a City-owned chain link fence parallel to San Ramon Road near the Shannon Center . In subsequent years , it is anticipated that this type of banner will be installed on City-owned poles . BOX 2029 • DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA 94566'6 September 22 , 1983 DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL Gentlemen : We would like to request an encroachment permit to hang a banner on the street side of the cyclone fence that runs along the bike path in front of Shannon Community Center on San Ramon Road in Dublin. We would also like - to request that the encroachment fee be waived . We have enclosed a blueprint of the sign which lists all the specifications you will need . The time period during which we would like to display the banner is from the day of your approval through the 9th of October , 1983 . We also realize that neither you or the Citv of Dublin will be held responsible for any damage to the banner while it is in place. Thank you for your consideration in this matter .
