FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: On January 14, 1985, the City Council
directed Staff to file an application with LAFCO (the Alameda
County Local Agency Formation Commission) with respect to the
Kaufman & Broad annexation of approximately 12 acres.
On April 15, 1985, LAFCO approved the annexation request. At
this time, a Resolution is needed to certify LAFCO' s action and
authorize the territory to be annexed to the City.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution 1
completing the annexation.

ORDERING THE ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY 12 ACRES TO THE CITY OF
DUBLIN, PA 84-076 KAUFMAN & BROAD
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 06-85, the City Council of
the City of Dublin made application to the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Alameda County (LAFCO) requesting initiation of
proceedings to annex that certain uninhabited territory
designated as PA 84-076 Kaufman & Broad annexation of
approximately 12 acres; and
WHEREAS, all landowners in said territory have
consented to such annexation; and
WHEREAS, LAFCO found that the City of Dublin has
completed all applicable environmental reviews and that the
's annexation to the City of Dublin is required to obtain the full
range of municipal services necessary for the development of the
i privately owned property within the boundaries of said territory;
and
WHEREAS, on the basis of such findings and by
Resolution No. 85-9 , LAFCO conditionally approved said
application on April 18, 1985, and, upon satisfaction of said
conditions, authorized the City to proceed with the annexation of
said territory without notice, hearing or election. A copy of
said resolution setting forth the conditions of approval is on
file in the City of Dublin Planning Department.
WHEREAS, the conditions imposed by the aforesaid LAFCO
Resolution No. 85-9 have been fully satisfied, or will be
satisfied;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE City Council of
the City of Dublin does hereby order the annexation of that
certain property designated by LAFCO as ANNEXATION OF NO. 1
KAUFMAN AND BROAD TO THE CITY OF DUBLIN and designated by the
City of Dublin as PA 84-076 .
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of
May, 1985 .

LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF ALAMEDA COUNTY
RESOLUTION NO. 85-9
WHEREAS, a resolution for application for Annexation No. 1 ,
Kaufman and Broad, to the City of Dublin was hereto filed with the Executive
Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission; and
WHEREAS, said Executive Officer has reviewed said application and
prepared a report, including his recommendations thereon noting that a
Negative Declaration has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, at the Hearing on April 18, 1985, the Local Agency
Formation Commission heard and received all oral and written prostests,
objections and evidence which were made, presented or filed, and all persons
present were given an opportunity to appear and be heard in respect to any
matter relating to said application and report; and
WHEREAS, this annexation is uninhabited, not within an
agricultural preserve, and is within the Sphere of Influence of the City of
Dublin; and
WHEREAS, this Commission did find as follows:
1 . The proposed annexation is consistent with the proecedures and
policies previusly adopted by the Commission;
2. The annexation will permit the provisos of municipal services
by the City of Dublin to the subject area; and
3. The Negative Declaration prepared by the City of Dublin has
been reviewed and approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT:
Annexation No. 1, Kaufman and Broad, to the City of Dublin be approved subject
to the following terms:
1. Correction of the map and description as may be required by
the Director of Public Works, ex officio County Surveyor; and
2. The City be authorized to proceed without notice or hearing.
