minutes ) on Sierra Lane

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Minimal cost for green curb painting.
DESCRIPTION: Viacom Cablevision, located at 6640
Sierra Lane, has requested that a portion of the curb be
painted green for 20 minutes parking in front of their
office to make it more available for their customers .
Viacom has visitor parking spaces in their lot, but feels
that the green curb would be more convenient for their
customers , who generally stay less than 20 minutes . About
two thirds (140 feet) of the curb in front of their building
would be limited to 20 minute parking ( 6 spaces ) .
The street area is not now being heavily parked and this
limited parking zone will not cause a hardship on long term
parking .

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN •
ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
The City Council of the City of Dublin does ordain as follows :
Section 1 . LIMITED PARKING ZONES:
Article 9, relating to "Limited Parking Zones" , of the
Alameda County Ordinance Code previously adopted by the City of
Dublin is amended by the addition of Section 6-370 .14 to read:
Sierra Lane It is unlawful to park any vehicle for a
greater length of time than twenty (20) minutes between the
hours of 8 AM and 6 PM, Sundays and holidays excepted, on
the following portion of Sierra Lane.
On the southerly curb line from a point 612 feet from the
easterly curb line of Sierra Court, easterly a distance of
140 feet.
Section 2 . IMMEDIATE EFFECT
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
enactment because the 'adoption and immediate effect thereof is
necessary in order to protect vehicular and pedestrian safety.
Section 3 . POSTING OF ORDINANCE
The City Clerk of the City of Dublin shall cause this
ordinance to be posted in at least three (3 ) public places in the
City of Dublin in accordance with Section 36933 of the Government
Code of the Sate of California.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Dublin on this 13th day of May, 1985 by the following votes :

Dear Mr. Thompson:
I would like to request a 20 minute parking zone to be
established in front of our Viacom building here at 6640
Sierra Lane.
Several large trucks with trailers park here regularly and
limit convenient customer parking, as well as obstructing
the view of drivers leaving the Viacom parking lot.
I appreciate anything you can do to alleviate this problem.

information you may need.
