DESCRIPTION : Enea Plaza submitted a request in early 1985
requesting the restriction of large trucks adjacent to their property.
Action on this request was postponed pending a comprehensive review of this
issue throughout the City by the Traffic Engineer.
At the regular City Council meeting on October 14, 1985, the City Council
introduced a Citywide ordinance which will have an effective date of
April 15, 1986. Mr. Enea has requested that his initial request for parking
restrictions be considered at this time.
Amador Plaza Road ends at a standard cul-de-sac bulb, 1,000 feet south of
Dublin Boulevard. The cul-de-sac bulb radius is not big enough for large
trucks to turn around. Mr. Enea's letter notes that the trucks drive
through their undeveloped lot to turn around. This has resulted in mud and
rocks being carried onto the street and damage to their curbs. Amador Plaza
Road south of Dublin Boulevard was not designed for continuous use by heavy
vehicles. The subject property is zoned as a planned development with
commercial-office and related uses. Damage to the street appears to have
resulted from trailers being unhooked and left standing on their dolly pads.
In addition, the parked tractor trailer rigs restrict visibility.
It is recommended that the City Council conduct a public hearing, waive the
reading and adopt the proposed ordinance on an urgency basis.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
The City Council of the City of Dublin does ordain as follows:
Section 1. NO PARKING ZONES: Vehicles Longer Than Twenty
Feet
Article 7, relating to "No Parking Zones" of the Alameda
County Ordinance Code previously adopted by the City of Dublin is
amended by the addition of Section 6-296.66 (Amador Plaza Road)
to read:
6-296.66 Amador Plaza Road. On the easterly and westerly
curblines from the southerly curbline of Dublin Boulevard
southerly to the end of the street.
Section 2. IMMEDIATE EFFECT
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
enactment because the adoption and immediate effect thereof is
necessary in order to protect vehicular and pedestrian safety.
Section 3. POSTING OF ORDINANCE
The City Clerk of the City of Dublin shall cause this
Ordinance to be posted in at least three (3) public places in the
City of Dublin in accordance with Section 36933 of the Government
Code of the State of California.

Dear Mayor Snyder,
We are the owners of a 22 acre parcel of land situated on Amador
Plaza Road, south of Dublin Blvd. which includes the Enea Plaza
office complex and the Dublin Cinema.
We are concerned about a situation that has arisen and continually
worsens.
Large tractor-trailer rigs are parking on Amador Plaza Road and
leaving the trailer dollied down, sometime for 3 and 4 days at a
time. When the rigs leave the dead-end street they drive thru our
undeveloped parcel and scatter mud and rocks onto the street with
the tires. The street now looks like a truck stop in an industrial area.
Our tenants, their employees and visitors must drive past the rigs
disconnecting, hooking up and turning and we believe this creates a
hazardous situation.
Any assistance the City Council can give to eliminate this problem
will be appreciated.
