FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Approximately $525 to install No Parking signs. This cost will
be paid from the Dublin Boulevard Extension Project Budget
DESCRIPTION: "Chabot Road" is the current, unofficial designation for the new
street that was constructed along the west side of the Chabot Channel between Scarlett Court and the
Dublin Boulevard Extension. This street is still closed to traffic; however, the Public Works
Department expects to open the street within the next month. The street is 28 feet wide, which is
insufficient to allow both two-way traffic and on-street parking; therefore, it is recom~nended that
parking be prohibited on both sides of "Chabot Road" for the entire distance between Scarlett Court
and Dublin Boulevard.
Staff expects to request approval of a permanent name for this street in the near future. When the
parcel on the east side of Chabot Channel develops, it is anticipated that a roadway will be dedicated
and constructed along the east side of the channel so that each direction of travel will have its own
roadway. At that time, sufficient roadway width should be available for parking as well as travel
lanes.
Staff recommends that the City Council conduct a public hearing, deliberate, and adopt the resolution
establishing a No Parking Zone along both sides of "Chabot Road" between Scarlett Court and Dublin
Boulevard.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING ZONE ON THE EAST AND WEST SIDES OF
"CHABOT ROAD" (ROADWAY PARALLEL TO CHABOT CHANNEL BETWEEN
SCARLETT COURT AND DUBLIN BOULEVARD)
The City Council of the City of Dublin hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to City of Dublin Municipal Code Section 6.04.250, and in the interest of
public safety, a No Parking Zone shall be established along the easterly and westerly sides of
"Chabot Road" (road parallel to Chabot Chmmel between Scarlett Court and Dublin Boulevard)
for the entire length of the street.
Section 2:
Traffic Code.
Said No Parking Zone shall be added to Section 6.28 of the City of Dublin
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 26th day of April, 1993.
