FINANCIAL STATEM~E4~T: Cost of curb painting (red and green) is approximately $50.
Sufficient funds are budgeted in the Street Maintenance Operating
Budget for this work.
DESCRIPTION: On July 25, 1995, the City Council approved a Conditional Use
Permit for the Creative Playschool daycare center at 6837 Amador Valley Boulevard (northwest comer of
Brighton Drive). In order to reduce anticipated traffic congestion in this area and provide a drop-off area
for parents, the daycare provider, Jan Zupetz, has requested that parking be prohibited along the frontage
of this property and that a 15-minute parking zone be installed along the Brighton Drive side of the
property. The facility is providing six on-site parking spaces and will have four staffmembers at
maximum capacity.

The no parking zone would extend 33 feet westward from the westerly curb return on Amador Valley
Boulevard at Brighton Drive. This was a condition of the approval of the facility and would eliminate one
on-street parking space. The Dublin Municipal Code specifies that a no parking zone may be approved by
resolution.
The 15-minute parking zone would extend approximately 80 feet northward from the northerly curb return
on Brighton Drive at Amador Valley Boulevard to allow limited parking for three cars. (See location
map, Exhibit 4.) The Municipal Code requires that this type of limited parking zone be approved by
ordinance.
Staff recommends that the City Council conduct a public hearing, deliberate, adopt the resolution
approving the no parking zone and introduce the ordinance approving the limited parking zone.

This letter is to request for approval at our site at 683? Amador
Valley Boulevard the following:
1. A red curb in front of our building (east of driveway).
A green curb with parking restrictions for 15 minutes all
day during the operation of the school. (6:30 - 6:30)
The curb is located on the Brighton Street side of the
property and the green curb should extend the entire
length of the 6837 Ankador Valley property as to allow
safe drop-off of children.

RESOLUTION NO. - 95
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ESTABLISHING NO PARKING ZONE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
AMADOR VALLEY BOULEVARD WEST OF BRIGHTON DRIVE
The City Council of the City of Dublin hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to City of Dublin Municipal Code Section 6.04.250, and in the interest of
public safety, a no parking zone shall be established as follows:
Amador Valley Boulevard On the northerly curbline, from the westerly curbline of Brighton Drive,
westerly a distance of 33 feet.
Section 2. Said no parking zone shall be added to Section 6.28.010 of the City of Dublin Traffic
Code.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of September, 1995.

ORDINANCE NO. - 95
AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ESTABLISHING A 15-MINUTE PARKING ZONE
ON THE WESTERLY SIDE OF BRIGHTON DRIVE,
NORTHERLY OF AMADOR VALLEY BOULEVARD
The City Council of the City of Dublin does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 6.04.250(D) of the Dublin Municipal Code, and in the interest
of public safety, a Limited (15-Minute) Parking Zone indicated by green curb shall be established on the
westerly curbline of Brighton Drive, northerly of the north curbline of Amador Valley Boulevard, a
distance of 80 feet.
Section 2~ Said Limited Parking Zone shall be added to Section 6.32.090 of the City of Dublin
Traffic Code.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE AND POSTING OF ORDINANCE: This Ordinance shall
take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage. The City Clerk of the
City of Dublin shall cause this Ordinance to be posted in at least three (3) public places in the City of
Dublin in accordance with Section 36933 of the Government Code of the State of California.
