DESCRIPTION: Last year, the City Council adopted a Five Year Capital
Improvement Program (CIP) for Fiscal Year 1998-99 through Fiscal Year 2002-03. This ~CIP..~,~
updated to address the fo!lowing issues:
1. Existing projects have been reviewed and, where necessary, revised to reflect the current project
scope and the most recent timing and cost estimates;
2. New projects have been added to address changing needs and priorities of the City. There are 27 new
projects proposed in the CIP Update for the remaining four years of the CIP timeframe,

RESOLUTION NO. - 99
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ADOPTING THE 1999-2000 UPDATE
TO THE 1998-2003 FIVE YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, in 1998, the City Council adopted the Five Year Capital Improvement Program for
Fiscal Year 1998-99 through Fiscal Year 2002-03 to address the City's public infrastructure and facility
needs in the following areas: General, Community Improvements, Parks and Streets; and
WHEREAS, ~it this time, the City Council desires to. update the I998-2003 Five Year Capital
Improvement Program to reflect changes and additions that have become necessary during the past year to
ensure that the City's capital needs are met; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented the Proposed 1999-2000 Update to the 1998-2003
Five Year Capital ImProvement Program (1999-2000 CIP Update) to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed projects included in the 1999-
2000 CIP Update and has determined that the public works projects to be constructed are in conformance
with the City of Dublin General Plan; and
WI~REAS, the Parks and Community Services Commission has reviewed the 1999-2000 CIP
Update and provided input regarding the parks and recreation projects included therein.
NOW, Tlt'EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does
hereby take the following actions:
the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby adopt the 1999-2000 Update to the
1998-2003 Five Year. Capital Improvement Program, which is attached to and made a part
hereo~, and
the items scheduled for implementation in Fiscal Year 1999-2000 shall be included in the
Capital Budget of the Annual City Budget and Financial Plan for Fiscal Year 1999-2000.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of~Iune, 1999.
