No funds have been budgeted for FY 1993-94 for this type of traffic study. DESCRIFrlON: As part of the budget hearings for FY 1993-94, the City Council determined to eliminate detailed traffic engineering studies by the City's traffic consultant, TJKM. Staff recently received a request from the Parkway Terrace Homeowner's Association (through its management firm) for installation of stop signs on Village Parkway at the intersection of Wineberry Way. This intersection is the entrance into the "Parkway Terrace" subdivision. Staff advised the Homeowners Association that no funds were available for a warrant study. The Homeowners Association is requesting that the City Council consider the installation of stop signs and reinstatement of traffic studies. Staff recommends that the City Council select one of the following options: 1) Authorize an engineering study including updated traffic counts to be performed. This would require an additional appropriation from reserves. 2) Deny the request for the study. 3) Any other direction as appropriate. a: (9394) I july ~agstvpw2 I CITY CLERK ITEM NO.
