FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
The City's portion of the cost is $50. Sufficient funds are included
in the 1996.97 budget.
DESCRIPTION: The City of Dublin received a letter from the Dublin Chamber of
Commerce requesting that the City co.sponsor a featured horse race on Dublin's designated Community
Day at the Alameda County Fair. This year, the Alameda County Fair Association has designated
Wednesday, June 25, 1997, as Tri.Valley Day at the Fair (Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton).
Participation would include sharing in the cost of a gift for the winning horse. The total cost to tp.e City is
approximately $50.

The Alameda County Fair Association has designated Wednesday, June 25, 1997 as
Tri Valley Day at the Alameda County Fair (Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore),
.', .
It has become traditional that the City of Dublin and Dublin Chamber of Commerce
co-sponsor a featured horse race on Dublin's designated Community Day, presenting the
winner of the race with a gift.
The cost to sponsor a race is approximately $50.00 for which the City and Chamber
share the expenses. The Mayor of Dublin along with the President of the Chamber make the
presentation.
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce would again like to invite the City of Dublin to co-
