FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION The City has received a letter from Ruth Frishman,
Chairperson of the Alameda County Housing Authority Housing Commission,
indicating that the term of office for the City of Dublin representative to
the Commission will expire on December 31 , 1985 . The City' s present
representative to the Commission is Vice Mayor Peter Hegarty. Ms . Frishman
is requesting that the City make an appointment to the Commission for the
4-year term beginning January 1 , 1986 and ending December 31 , 1989.
It is Staff' s recommendation that the City Council make an appointment to
fill this term.

Dear Mr. Snyder:
Your city's representative to the Alameda County Housing Authority's Housing
Commission, Peter Hegarty, term of office expires December 31, 1985. - A new
appointment for a four-year term beginning January 1, 1986, and ending
December 31, 1989, is requested.
In accordance with the Housing Commission's Bylaws, the city nominates a
representative and submits its nomination to the Alameda County Board of
Supervisors for final approval and appointment. There is no limitation
regarding the number of terms a Ccamissioner may serve, and you may
re-nominate the same representative if you so choose.
For your information, Mr. Hegarty has served on the Housing Commission
since September 1982. He has held office on the Comission as Chairman and
is also very knowledgeable of housing programs and has had excellent attendance
as a Commission member.
Would you please submit your city's nomination to the Board of Supervisors
and send' a copy of the nomination to the Housing Authority. If the Housing
Authority can provide any further information or if you have any questions,
please contact Ms. Ophelia B. Basgal at 538-8876. We look forward to hearing
from you.
