Request from Dublin Chamber of Commerce related to
Dublin-Pleasanton Day at the Alameda County Fair

Commerce dated June 15, 1993
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize city's participation at a cost of $20.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Cost = $20; Sufficient funds have been
included in the 1993-94 Budget.
DESCRIPTION: The city has received a letter from the Dublin
Chamber of Commerce requesting that the City participate in co-
sponsoring a Dublin-Pleasanton Day at the Alameda County Fair on
Thursday, July 1, 1993. This participation would include sharing 1/2
of the cost of a floral bouquet to be presented to the winner of the
sponsored community day horse race. The total cost will be $20.

Dear Rich:
The Dublin and Pleasanton Chambers of Commerce will be co-sponsoring a
Dublin-Pleasanton Day at the Alameda County Fair on Thursday, July 1, 1993.
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce will again be organizing it's community day
sponsored race and plans to pr~sent the winner of the race with a bouquet
of flowers to be provided by the Alameda County Fair Association. The cost
of the bouquet will be approximately $40.00.
The Chamber would like to have the City of Dublin participate in Dublin's
community day again this year and would like for the r1ayor or his designated
representative to be in the Winner's Circle to assist with the presentation.
As in past years the Chamber would like to request the City consider sharing
in the expenses which amount to approximately $20.00.
