FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
A total of $9,450 was budgeted for the purchase of 300
cubic yards of infield mix for the 90-foot diamond at
Murray School (total project budget $21,200). The
following bids were received:

DESCRIPTION: On February 24, 1992, the City Council approved a
budget of $21,200 for purchase of materials for the Dublin Little League volunteer
project to construct a 90-foot diamond at Murray School. The infield soil mix
portion of the budget was determined to be $9,450.00.
Staff received four proposals to provide the infield mix. The low bidder is C. L.
Smith Trucking, who proposes to provide 300 cubic yards of infield mix at a cost of
$9,093.00.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution awarding the purchase
order for infield mix to C. L. Smith Trucking.

RESOLUTION NO. -92
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AWARDING PURCHASE ORDER FOR INFIELD MIX
FOR 90-FOOT BASEBALL DIAMOND PROJECT AT MURRAY SCHOOL
TO C. L. SMITH TRUCKING CO.
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did on April 7, 1992, receive four bids for
provision of infield mix for the project to construct a 90-foot baseball diamond at
Murray School, said purchase authorized by the City Council on February 24, 1992;
and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the bid hereinafter described
is the lowest and best bid for providing the product;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin
does hereby award the purchase order for infield mix to the lowest bidder, to wit,
C. L. Smith Trucking, at a price of $9,093.00, the particulars of which bid are on
file in the City Engineer's office.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of April, 1992.
