FINANCIAL STATEMENT Estimated Cost - $1, 000
DESCRIP`1'ION At the April 27 , 1992 meeting of the Dublin
City Council, the Council received a report summarizing the fiscal
impact to the City for acquiring, renovating and operating the
Heritage Center properties. As a result of that report, the Council
directed Staff to (1 ) clarify the estimated budget with the Heritage
Committee, and (2) prepare purchase agreements.
The City Attorney has indicated that the City needs to obtain
preliminary title reports in order to proceed with the preparation of
purchase agreements . As shown in the attached assessor's map, there
are four parcels for which title reports are required. The Dublin
Cemetery encompasses parcel numbers 1-2, 5 and 6 , while the Old St.
Raymond's Church is situated on parcel number 1-1 .
Based upon information received from Northwestern Title Company, the
estimated cost for preliminary title reports is $250 per parcel . Thus
the estimated cost to the City for preliminary title reports for the
entire site is $1 ,000. As funds were not included in the Fiscal Year
1991-92 Budget for this purpose, it will be necessary to make a budget
transfer. Given the fact that the City Council has curtailed any
further activities relating to the City's tenth anniversary
celebration, adequate funds are available in the City Council
Community Promotion Account. Consequently Staff recommends that the
City Council authorize a budget transfer in the amount of $1 ,000 from
this account.
