RECOMMENDATION: `�Approve installation of banner from
April 22nd through May 5th.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Minimal cost - a few hours of staff time
will be required to issue permit and
provide follow-up inspection.
DESCRIPTION: The Valley Artists Association is
presenting an art show on May 3rd, 4th, and 5th and has
requested to hang a banner from the City-owned chain link
fence, parallel to San Ramon Road, near the Shannon Center
(the Children' s Theatre Workshop is using the banner poles
.from April 19th throught May 6th) .
The show will be held at D .S.R.S.D. ' s "White House" on
Alcosta Boulevard. The banner policy calls for events to be
held in Dublin, but the Council waived this guideline when
approving their banner installation in April of 1984 ,
because the Association indicated that it could not afford
the Shannon Center.
