DESCRIPTION : At the October 10, 1991 meeting of the city
Council, the Council approved the preliminary designs for the play
area renovations at Nielsen School and Cronin School, and directed
Singer and Hodges, Inc., to proceed with the development of
construction documents.
The construction documents and cost estimates have been completed and
the approved design exceeds the available budget by approximately
$1,826. Consequently Staff has included to alternates in the bid; the
ribbon slide at Nielsen, and the super scoop and jet rider at Cronin.
It is, therefore, recommended that the city Council authorize Staff to
advertise for bids for Contract 91-10 Nielsen and Cronin Schools Play
Area Renovations.
