Thompson, Public Works Director EXHIBITS ATTACHED: 1) 2) 3) Budget Change Form Map of Project Location Plans and Specifications will be available at the City Council meeting RECOMMENDATION: ~)/Authorize Staff to advertise for bids FINANCIAL STATEMENT: BUDGET Sharmon Center Pedestrian Path Design/Inspection/Field Staking Construction Improvements Miscellaneous (Legal, Permits) $1,050 6,500 250 TOTAL $ 7,800 Grading for this project was completed in fiscal year 1997-98 however no other improvements were constructed. Attached is a budget change form to re-appropriate the moneys budgeted for last fiscal year to this fiscal year. DESCRIPTION: In the recent past, residents have been traversing the slope between the existing bike path along the west side of San Ramon Road and the service parking area at the rear of Shannon Center~ A temporary path has resulted from this trailblazing and.may present a hazard to the users. This project will construct a paved path on the previously graded slope. The project has been identified in the City Council's adopted Goals and Objectives. Plans and specifications have been prepared for bidding. Staff recommends that City Council authorize Staff to advertise for bids on this Capital Improvement Project.
