Dear City Councilman ,
I would like to share information with you on a service for the
frail elderly in the Valley.
The Senior Support Program is a project of Valley Community Health
Center . Our program was developed as a direct response to the
communities ' request for in-home support services for the valley's
frail elderly. Trained and supervised volunteers provide sociali-
zation, friendship and respite care on a one-to-one basis. Regular
visits , special luncheons and outings and frequent telephone calls
provided by the volunteer begin to break down the isolation and
form a needed link to the community. All services are provided
free to elderly 60 years and older living in Pleasanton, Livermore ,
Dublin and Sunol .
We have provided visitors to a small number of the elderly in the
Dublin area. We would like to reach a greater number who could
benefit from our services . We are asking your assistance in sharing
this information with members of the Dublin community.
