Box 2340 Dublin, CA 94568 Attention: Richard Ambrose Dear Mr. Ambrose: The winter season is rapidly approaching and we are very aware of the impact that high gas and electric bills will have on our customers. Our customers are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities to control the amount of their utility bill and to reduce costly energy losses. Two specific programs are available which can easily be taken advantage of: ZIP, the interest free loan program whereby families may make energy saving improvements in their homes; and BPP, the balanced payment plan to reduce the peak amount of winter heating bills. Enclosed are brochures describing each plan in detail. With your concurrence, we would be pleased to provide sufficient copies of these brochures along with a letter such as the attached sample for distribution to each of your employees. Please call me if you wish to participate in this program or have any questions. Sincerely, L. R. Now PG&E has came up with a couple of creative plans which may be of inter- est to you; a balanced payment plan to miniz7aze the shock of those winter heating bills; and an interest-free loan program whereby families may rrake energy-saving improvements in their homes. PG&E asked us if they might utilize our employee list for the purpose of publicizing these programs and wee agreed that it would be appropriate. The enclosures describe in more detail the two plans. I urge you- to consider them carefully.
