Low Bid: $ 5,599.00
10% Contingency: $ 560.00
TOTAL: $ 7,159~00
The new HVAC unit (including contingency) is funded through the Internal Service Fund. Design and
miscellaneous is budgeted in the General' Fund (001 ).
DESCRIPTION: This project will provide a new HVAC system at the Shannon
Community Center. The existing heating system has been inoperable and requires replacement. The new
unit will serve the West Room at the Shannon Center.
The work in this contract includes removing and disposing of an existing forced air heating system,
installing one new 5-ton HVAC system at the Shannon Community Center with a new electrical
connection and concrete pad for the air conditioning unit.
Three (3) bids were submitted with a low bid from Breeze Air Systems in the amount of $5,599.00. The
other bids were from Taylor Heating Air Conditioning & Electrical at $5,990.00 and SMC Mechanical at
$17 923 00
Staff has reviewed the proposal, checked with references and recommends that the City Council adopt the
resolution awarding Contract 99-09 to Breeze Air Systems to complete the work for the Shannon Center
HVAC System.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AWARDING CONTRACT 99-09
SHANNON CENTER HVAC SYSTEM
TO BREEZE AIR SYSTEMS INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did, on September 15, 1999, publicly open, examine,
and declare all sealed bid for doing the work described in the approved Specifications, for Contract 99-09,
Shannon Center HVAC System, which Specifications are hereby expressly referred to for a description of
said work and for all particulars relative to the proceedings under the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, said bids were submitted to the City Engineer, who has recommended that
the bid hereinafter mentioned is the lowest and best bid for doing said work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin
does hereby award City of Dublin Contract 99-09 to the lowest responsible bidder therefor, to wit Breeze
Air Systems Inc. with a bid of Five Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars and No Cents
($5,599.00), the particulars of which bid are on file in the Office of the City Engineer.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2 l th day of September, 1999.
