DESCRIPTION: At ~e..May 4, 1999 meeting of the Dublin City Council, the Council
reviewed the draft Park Development Standards prepared by Singer & Hodges, Inc. As a result of the
review, Staff was directed to add additional landscape details and specifications for protection of existing
trees. This has been accomplished with the addition of Detail SI-2, SI-3, SI-4 and SI-5 to Volume I and
the addition of Section 02950, Protection of Existing Trees, to Volume II.
The Park Development Standards will be provided to developers who will be constructing neighborhood
parks for the City in exchange for credit against Public Facility Fees. These standards will provide
developers with the necessary guidelines to assist them in the design and construction of parks to the
standard that the City requires. Not only will the standards provide the City with a method to control the
quality of park design and construction, they will also insure that the materials and equipment used to
construct parks are consist.en~t~w~i~.,.w~t~i.~ u~_~sp~_in o__~er_ C~ity parks.
Staffrecommends that ~e _Ci~ty Council adopt the Park Development Standards.
