The Median Paver Repair project is budgeted in the General Fund (001).
DESCRIPTION: On November 16, 1999, the City Council authorized Staff to solicit bids for
Contract No. 99-14, Median Paver Repair.
Median Paver Repair project will re-set paver stones in raised medians that have sunken or been displaced
by tree roots. The scope of work includes removing existing paver stones, trimming tree roots, installing
root barriers as necessary, reconstructing wood headers at tree wells, and re-setting pavers to grade.
Locations of paver repair will be in medians on the follgwing major arterial streets: Dublin Boulevard
from San Ramon Road to Dougherty Road, Amador Valley Boulevard from San Ramon Road to
Dougherty Road and Village Parkway from Amador Valley Boulevard to City limit line at Kimball
Avenue.
A total of 5 bids were received for the project (Attachment 2). Low bidder was WSP Trucking; Inc., with
a bid of $84,262.50,
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution awarding Contract No. 99-14, Median Paver
Repair, to WSP Trucking, Inc.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AWARDING CONTRACT 99-14
MEDIAN PAVER REPAIR
TO WSP TRUCKING, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did, on December 14, 1999, publicly open, examine,
and declare all sealed bid for doing the work described in the approved Specifications, for Contract 99-I4,
Median Paver Repair, which Plans and Specifications are hereby expressly referred to for a description of
said work and for all particulars relative to the proceedings under the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, said bids were submitted to the City Engineer, who has recommended that
the bid hereinafter mentioned is the lowest and best bid for doing said work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin
does hereby award City of Dublin Contract 99-14 to the lowest responsible bidder therefor, to wit WSP
Trucking, Inc. with a bid of Eighty-four Thousand T~vo Hundred Sixty-two Dollars and Fifty Cents
($84,262.50), the particulars of which bid are on file in the Office of the City Engineer.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21 st day of December, 1999.
