RECOMMENDATION: ~ Authorize Staff to solicit bids
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
The total budget for this project, including design, fees, and
construction, is $20,000. The budget for this construction contract is
$10,845.
DESCRIPTION: At the August 22, 1995 meeting, the City Council approved an
additional appropriation of $20,000 for the purpose of landscaping the northwest comer of San Ramon
Road and Amador Valley Boulevard. Subsequently, at the meeting of September 12th, the City Council
authorized an additional $2,000 to landscape the northeast comer in front of the service dub sign.
The contract that is proposed to be bid includes site preparation and installation of plant material and
irrigation. The tap into the water main and the meter connection is being done under separate contract.
The City will also paint the street side of the wall in front of Casa Orozco.
It is proposed that this contract be completed one month after the beginning of work.
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize solicitation of bids for this landscaping work.
