RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt resolution awarding Contract 00-01 to Tennyson Electric,
Inc.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Budgeted for Construction: $70,000.00
Low Bid Received: $44,888.50
The cost of this project is to be paid from street Light Assessment
District reserves
DESCRIPTION: On December 21, 1999, the City Council authorized Staff to solicit bids for
Contract 00-01 Downtown Street Light Additions. This project will install street lighting on portions of
Sierra Court and Sierra Lane which do not presently have street lighting, and add two lights on Dublin
Boulevard near Golden Gate Drive.
A total of nine bids were received. The low bid in the amount of $44,888.50 was received from Tennyson
Electric, Inc.
Staff has reviewed the low bidder's proposal and is familiar with the firm' s work. Staff recommends that
the City Council adopt the resolution awarding Contract 00-01 to the low bidder.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AWARDING CONTRACT NO. 00-01
DOWNTOWN STREET LIGHT ADDITIONS
TO TENNYSON ELECTRIC, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did, on February 7, 2000, publicly open, examine, and
declare all sealed bid for doing the work described in the approved Specifications, for Contract No. 00-01,
Downtown Street Light Additions, which Plans and Specifications are hereby expressly referred to for a
description of said work and for all particulars relative to the proceedings under the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, said bids were submitted to the City Engineer, who has recommended that the
bid hereinafter mentioned is the lowest and best bid for doing Said work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does
hereby award City of Dublin Contract No. 00-01 to the lowest responsible bidder therefor, to wit
Tennyson Electric, Inc., with a bid of Forty Four Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Eight Dollars and Fifty
Cents ($44,888.50), the particulars of which bid are on file in the Office of the City Engineer.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of February, 2000.
