RECOMMENDATION: ~A~uuthorize Staff to solicit bids for this project.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
$20,000 is budgeted in the Capital Improvement
Program for this project. Contract administration
costs are included in the Building Management
Operating Budget.
DESCRIPTION: Renovation of the Shannon Community Center took place
in Fiscal Year 1989-90. However, exterior painting was delayed until after
the Shannon Park Renovation project was completed.
This project provides for exterior painting of the building, the deck, and
the bridge, and painting of the parking lot light poles. Painting is
necessary in order to prevent future deterioration of the exterior of the
building.
The $20,000 budget is intended to coyer the cost of the painting contract.
Project administration will be handled by the City's Maintenance Department
and paid from the Building Managem~ Operating Budget.
Staff recommends that the City Coun~% ~Uthorize solicitation of bids for
this work.
