DESCRIPTION: In May of 1996, the City Council awarded the annual overlay
contract to O'Grady Paving. This project provided for street repair at various locations for both the
overlay and slurry seal projects and the asphalt overlay of streets at various locations in the City. In
addition to paving, the median islands along Village Parkway were raised to accommodate this and future
overlays. The City Council approved a $70,000 change order to overlay Dougherty Road from north of
Houston Place to south of Amador Valley Boulevard and Dublin Boulevard from Hansen Drive to Donlon
Way. This project was funded by Gas Taxes, State SB 300 Funding, Measure B (1/2 cent sales tax) and
the General Fund. The project is made up of moneys budgeted in the Overlay CIP project as well as the
operating budget for Street Maintenance.
The CiD' Engineer has reviewed the work on the project and has determined that the work is complete
and in accordance with the approved specifications. Staffrecommends that the City Council accept the
improvements and authorize final payment in the amount of $57,499.45 as well as the retention amount of
$40,517.46 to O'Grady Paving.
