DESCRIPTION : At the July 13, 1993 meeting of the Dublin
city Council, the Council approved the preliminary design for the
Dublin Swim Center Bathhouse Renovation, and directed La Perle
Architects Inc. to proceed with the development of construction
documents.
The proposed project as approved by the Council addresses
modifications to the building which are required under the Americans
with Disabilities Act (ADA). This includes renovation of the
restrooms, showers, changing areas and entrances/exits to the
building. Additional work to be considered as part of this contract
includes floor resurfacing, construction of an additional office and
interior painting.
The construction documents have been completed and the cost estimate
for the improvements under this contract is $91,750.
Other improvements to be funded through the Dublin Swim center
Bathhouse Renovation Capital Improvement Project total $12,311 and
include a walkway at the entrance to the Bathhouse, a bike pad, a
handicapped pool lift, replacement of a hot water heater and
miscellaneous repairs to the bathhouse mechanical systems. These
improvements will be done under separate contract.
It is recommended that the city Council authorize. Staff to advertise
for bids for Contract 93-09 Dublin Swim Center Bathhouse Renovation.
