FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Approximately $100 to paint red curb. Funds are budgeted in the
Street Maintenance Operating Budget to cover this cost.
DESCRIPTION: The City's Traffic Code contains a listing for a no parking zone
on Scarlett Court near Miracle Auto Painting. Since the intersection of Dublin Boulevard/Dougherty
Road/Scarlett Court was revised during construction, the description of the no parking zone is no
longer current. Additionally, the driveway configuration at the Miracle Auto Painting business has
been changed, which also necessitates a change in the location of the no parking zones.
Staff is proposing that the no parking zones be located (1) on the south side of Dublin Boulevard
between Dougherty Road and Scarlett Court, and (2) at small areas at the driveways to allow for
visibility. These small areas are 13', 3' and 8' respectively (see location map, Exhibit 2). This
would still allow sufficient space to park two cars between the driveways.
As a housekeeping measure, Staff is also proposing to eliminate the Traffic Code reference to a no
parking zone on the "northerly curbline" of Scarlett Court, as this portion of Scarlett Court no longer
exists.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
MODIFYING NO PARKING ZONES ON SCARLETT COURT
SOUTHERLY OF DUBLIN BOULEVARD
Pursuant to City of Dublin Municipal Code Section 6.04.250 and in the interest of public safety, the
City Council of the City of Dublin hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: The following no parking zone is repealed and shall be removed from Section 6.28
of the City of Dublin Traffic Code:
Scarlett Court: On the southerly curbline from the easterly curbline of Dougherty Road,
easterly a distance of 252 feet; and on the northerly curbline from the easterly curbline of Dougherty
Road, easterly a distance of 285 feet.
Section 2: The following no parking zones are adopted and shall be added to Section 6.28 of
the City of Dublin Traffic Code:
Dublin Boulevard: On the southerly curb line , from the easterly curbline of Dougherty Road to
the westerly curbline of Scarlett Court (121 feet).
Scarlett Court: On the generally westerly curb line ,from the southerly curbline of Dublin
Boulevard, southerly a distance of 13 feet; from a point 27 feet southerly of the southerly curbline of
Dublin Boulevard, southerly a distance of 3 feet; and from a point 48 feet southerly of the southerly
curbline of Dublin Boulevard, southerly a distance of 8 feet.
