This delay is due to the late submittal of plans to P.G. & E by other utility companies. On November 13, 1984 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 124-84, which required property owners to be ready to ~ ~itv ~ rec~-~ unserground uti service by ADri 15, 1985, and order the underground of utili~ie~ bv May ~ 1985 Since this project is behind schedule, it is necessary to modify the previously approved dates as follows: Property owners be ready to receive underground service by June 14, 1985, (previously April 15, 1985). Remove! of and underground installation of overhead utilities by June 30, 1985, (previously May 31, 1985). Property owners within the district are being noticed of this proposed change and will be notified by mail of this change if approved. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COgNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 124-84 AND MODIFYING MANDITORY DATES FOR UNDERGROUNDING OF UTILITIES IN THE SAN R~MON ROAD UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NUMBER 1 ~{EREAS, the City Council of the City of Dublin has established the San Ramon Road Underground Utility District Number ! by Resolution Number 124-84; and WHEREAS, under Section 3 of that resolution, certain deadlines were established for undergrounding of utilities; and WHEREAS, the design and construction of this District is behind schedule. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Dublin that Section 3 of Resolution 124-84 be modified to read as follows: "Section 3" Orders that the removal and underground installation of the above mentioned utilities be accomplished by June 30, 1985, and that all property owners within said District shall be ready to receive underground service from such underground systems as of June 14, 1985. 1985. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of April, AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ATTEST: Mayor City Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 124-84 A RESOLU_TION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN DESIGNATING AN AREA FOR THE UNDERGROUND INSTALLATION OF UTILITIES AND ORDERING THE REMOVAL OF ABOVEGROUND UTILITIES IN AN AREA DESIGNATED AS THE SAN R~MON ROAD UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NUMBER 1. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Dublin has received the recommendation of the City Engineer that the area ,, and incorporated herein designated in Exhibit A" attached hereto by reference, in Dublin, California, should be designated as an area in which poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures should be removed and that underground wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service should be installed; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 6 - Undergrounding of Utilities of the Ordinance Code of the County of Alameda as adopted by the City of Dublin, the City Clerk notified all affected property owners as shown on the last equalized assessment roll, and utilities concerned, by mail, of a public hearing on this matter to be November 13, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dublin Library Meeting Room, located at 7606 Amador Valley Boulevard. WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said date, at which time the City Council did receive and consider the recommendation of the City Engineer and did hear any and all objections or protests which were raised by the owners of property within the above described area pertaining to designating this area an underground utility district. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Dublin City Council on behalf of all Dublin citizens does hereby resolve: Section !. The public necessity, health, safety and welfare require the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated services within the area as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, with such area hereby being designated aS the San Ramon Road Underground Utility / District. Section 2. Determines that the undergrounding of utilities as provided in Section 1. will avoid or eliminate an unusually heavy concentration of overhead distribution facilities. Sec=zon 3. Orde_s that the removal and underground installation l_~les be accomplished by of the above mentioned uti ;~' May 31, 1985, and that all property owners within said District shall be ready to receive underground service from such underground systems as of April 15, 1985. Section 4. Directs the City Clerk to mail a copy of this Resolution together with a copy of Chapter 6 - Undergrounding of Utilities of the Ordinance Code of the County of A~ameda as adopted by the City of ~ Dublin, to a!!/~ffected property owners as such are shown on the last equalized assessment roll and to the affected utilities Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective imJnediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of November, 1984.
