FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
None
DESCRIPTION: On November 2, 1993, at a special election
consolidated with a Statewide special election, Dublin voters cast
ballots related to Measure B, a referendum related to a General Plan
Amendment and Specific Plan for eastern Dublin.
out of 11,922 registered voters, a total of 5,375 ballots were cast at
this special election, which equates to a 45.1% voter turnout.
Measure B asked voters if eity Council Resolution No. 53-93 should be
adopted.

RESOLUTION NO. - 93
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
***************************
RECITING THE FAeTS OF THE SPEeIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON
NOVEMBER 2, 1993, DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF AND
SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW
WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held and conducted
in the city of DUblin, county of Alameda, state of California, on
Tuesday, the 2nd day of November, 1993, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council requested that the Alameda County
Board of supervisors order the consolidation of said election
with the statewide special election; and
WHEREAS, the territory affected by this order of
consolidation, to wit, within the boundaries of the City of
DUblin, said election was held in all respects as though there
were only one election in accordance with the provisions of
section 23314 of the Elections Code of the state of ealifornia;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Elections Code section 17088,
the Alameda County Registrar of Voters has canvassed the returns
of said election and has certified the results. Said results are
received, attached and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A".
NOW, THEREFORE, the city Council of the eity of Dublin does
hereby resolve as follows:
section 1. That there were sixteen (16) voting precincts
established for the purpose of holding said election consisting
of consolidations of the regular election precincts in the City
of Dublin as established for the holding of federal, state and
county elections.
section 2. That said municipal election was held for the
purpose of allowing voters to cast ballots on a referendum
measure related to a General Plan Amendment and Specific Plan for
eastern Dublin.
section 3. That the whole number of votes cast in said eity
in said election was 5,375. Measure B Yes Votes = 3,123; No
Votes = 2,138. Total number registered voters = 11,922. Total
voter turnout = 45%.
section 4. That the number of votes given at each precinct
are as listed in "Exhibit A" attached.
Section 5. That the city elerk shall enter on the records
of the City Council minutes of said City, a statement of the
results of said election.

section 6. That the city Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book
of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make an entry of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of
the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

in the City of Dublin at the Special Municipal Election held on
Tuesday, November 2, 1993, do hereby certify the following to be a
full, true and correct Statement of the Results of all votes cast at
said election for and against the following measure:

B MEASURE B: Shall City Council Resolution 53-93, which approves a General
Plan Amendment for Eastern Dublin, a constitution for all future developments, YES
with comprehensive, long term policies regarding:
. preserving ridgelands and open space
. providing future housing and job opportunities
. providing new school facilities
. providing new park and recreation facilities
and which also approves a Specific Plan for Eastern Dublin and makes findings and NO
adopts an environmental review program under California environmental laws, be
adopted?
