As you are aware, we have had ongoing discussions with DSRSD to exchange an equal area of land to allow our office site to be served by the new traffic signal being installed at this intersection. DSRSD requires approval frcan the U.S. Department of Interior prior to entering into an exchange for any portion of the Dublin Sports Field. Based on my discussions with both DSRSD and the Department of Interior, the U. S. Government needs to be assured that any such exchange would be of direct-benefit to the general public. We believe strongly that having a traffic signal to control the ingress and egress onto our site not only maximizes the safety and efficiency of traffic for all motorists leaving and entering the property, but also permits the development of a superior project for the City of Dublin. In this regard, I respectfully request that you support the proposed realignment of the street, and communicate those sentiments to DSRSD. Your endorsement of the street realignnent will have a significantly positive effect on the Department of Interior in. their consideration of any land exchange request by DSRSD. Thank you for your cooperation. Very sincerely yours, IMP IDS FO Anthony H. g Branch Manager AHL:nc Enclosure cc: Graeme A. G. Stamp Paul J.
