FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
The construction budget for Capital Improvement Project #9534 for
the current fiscal year is $9,000. Sheldrake & Mumford's low bid is
for $5,950. With a 10% contingency, the amount will be $6,545.

DESCRIPTION: At the meeting of October 20, 1998, the City Council authorized Staffto solicit
bids for Contract 98-13, Kolb Park Tennis Court Resurfacing.
In order to maintain playability and prolong their useful life, the two tennis courts at Kolb Park need to be
resurfaced. This project will crack seal the area, surface seal and re-paint the courts, and restripe the lines.
A total of 4 bids were received with the low bid of $5,950 being submitted by Sheldrake & Mumford, Inc.
Staffhas reviewed the bid results, checked with references, and recommends that the City Council adopt
the resolution awarding the bid to Sheldrake & Mumford, Inc.

RESOLUTION NO. 162 -98
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AWARDING CONTRACT 98-13
KOLB PARK TENNIS COURT RESU-RFACING
TO SHELDRAKE & MUMFORD, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did, on November 19, 1998, publicly open, examine,
and declare all sealed bids for doing the work described in the approved Plans, Specifications, and
Modifications for Contract 98-13, Kolb Park Tennis Court Resurfacing, authorized by the City Council
on October 20, 1998, which Plans, Specifications, and Modifications are hereby expressly referred to for
a description of said work and for all particulars relative to the proceedings under the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, said bids were submitted to the City Engineer, who has recommended that
the bid hereinafter mentioned is the lowest and best bid for doing said work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does
hereby award City of Dublin Contract 98-13 to the lowest responsible bidder therefor, to wit Sheldrake &
Mumford, Inc., with a bid of Five Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,950.00), the particulars of
which bid are on file in the Office of the City Engineer.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December, 1998.
