PARADE The traditional st. Patrick's Day Parade is sponsored by the Dublin-San Ramon Lions Club and features local bands, service clubs, youth groups, City dignitaries and floats. It is recommended that the parade follow the same route as last year: South on Amador Plaza Road East on Dublin Boulevard, North on village Parkway West on Amador Valley Boulevard Amador Plaza Road will be utilized as the staging area for the parade and the parade will disband at the Albertson's parking lot (across the street from Shamrock Village). This route has been reviewed and approved by the city's Police and Public Works Departments as well as the Dublin-San Ramon Lions Club. COMMUNITY CELEBRATION The Shamrock Village Center on Amador Valley Boulevard was the location of the 1993 community celebration. This site was enthusiastically supported by the Center merchants and was suitable for the various activities organized by the city. Thus, it is recommended that the 1994 celebration once again be held at the Shamrock village Center. The proposed components of the community celebration are as follows: Arts & Craft Fair Carnival Games Food Booths Information Booths commercial/Business Section Entertainment (2 stages) Health Fair BUSINESS PARTICIPATION For the past two years local businesses were invited to stage sidewalk sales in conjunction with the celebration. In addition, promotional sign processing fees were waived for those businesses who referred to the st. Patrick's Day Celebration in their promotional signs. There were a number of businesses who took advantage of these two promotions. --------~-~------------------------------------------------------ ITEM NO.~ COPIES TO: Dublin-San Ramon Lions Club Dublin Chamber of Commerce CITY CLERK FILE ~ ~ e e AGENDA STATEMENT - Annual st.
