Each donation has been accepted by the City Council and held in a liability account until such time as a project or need arose. The Senior Center Staff and Advisory Committee have identified a project which requires expending a portion of the funds in the liability account. The installation of partitions along the east wall of the Center will create additional small meeting and storage areas. Surplus partitions are available from the Civic Center for Senior Center use. In order to complete the project the partitions must be transported from the Civic Center and installed in the Senior Center. Cost of transportation and installation is approximately $1,000. Staff recommends that the City Council approve the attached Budget Change Form recognizing the revenue and appropriating the expense in order that the project can be accomplished.
