Time Personnel RECOMMENDATION: Q'lt~Adopt Resolutions FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Sufficient funds have been included in the 199,5..96 Budget DESCRIPTION: Staff is proposing amendments to several existing job descriptions as well as amendments to several existing salary ranges. All affected positions are part..time positions in the Parks & Community Services Department. Amendments to Classification Plan . . The safety certification required for aquatics personnel and recreation leaders has recently been revised by :. the American Red Cross.. It is therefore necessary to update the job descriptions for these positions to reflect the new training requirements. The positions affected by these changes are Pool Manager, Assistant Pool Manager, Swim Instructor, Lifeguard, Cashier, Recreation Leader I, Recreation Leader II, Senior Recreation Leader, and Recreation Program Specialist. In addition, Staff has made minor modifications to the language in the job descriptions to include infonnation about the new fingerprinting procedures for certain part-time positions. Amendments to Sala." Plan On an annual basis, Staff conducts a survey of surrounding agencies to detennine current market ranges for part..time positions in the Parks & Community Services Department. " RESOLUTION NO. - 96 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN .- ********* AMENDING TIlE SALARY PLAN FOR PART-TIME PERSONNEL WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Resolution 122-93 Establishing a Salary Plan for Part- Time Personnel; and WHEREAS, competitive salary provisions which will attract and retain quality employees are important to the organization; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to update salary provisions for part-time employees in the City's personnel system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the part-time salary prOVISIOns enacted ill Resolution 122-93 be superseded by this resolution.
