SUBJECT: Adoption of Dougherty Road Bike Path Phase II
(Amador Valley Boulevard to Willow Creek Drive)

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: Section 6.04.370 of the City's Municipal Code provides that
bicycle lanes and bicycle paths be adopted by resolution and included in the Traffic
Code.
Phase II of the Dougherty Road bicycle path was accepted by the City Council on
August 12, 1991. This portion of the bicycle path extends along the east side of
Dougherty Road from Amador Valley Boulevard northerly to Willow Creek Drive.
(Phase I of the bike path, from the Southern Pacific Right-of-Way to Amador Valley
Boulevard, was constructed previously. Phase III, from Willow Creek Drive to the
northerly City Limit, is proposed to be constructed in the spring of 1992. )
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution adding Phase II of the
Dougherty Road Bike Path to the Traffic Code.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ESTABLISHING A BICYCLE PATH ON THE EAST SIDE OF DOUGHERTY ROAD
BETWEEN AMADOR VALLEY BOULEVARD AND WILLOW CREEK DRIVE
The City Council of the City of Dublin hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to City of Dublin Municipal Code Section 6.04.370, and in
the interest of public safety, a bicycle path is established in the following
location:
On the easterly side of Dougherty Road, separated from the travel lanes, from
Amador Valley Boulevard to Willow Creek Drive.
Section 2: Said bicycle path shall be added to Section 6.72.010 of the City
of Dublin Traffic Code.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 28th day of October, 1991.
