TAANSPORTA TION CONSUL rANTS December 1, 1993 Mr. Lee Thompson, Director of Public Wolks City of Dublin 100 Civic Plaza Dublin, CA 94568 Dear Lee: I I I .1 I i ! At a recent fund raiser for the Dublin Rotary Oub, I was temporarily overcome with questionable judgement and offered the winning bid for landscaping/gardening services to be provided by fellow Rotarian David Bunon. When I regained my senses and paid my money (not necessarily in that order), I thought to myself. do I really want Dave Burton to rotod.11 my front yard or Ii there pemaps 2. more noble me of his time th1t can benefit personkind. Frankly. I was thinking of having Dave rototill, or perhaps mow, the front yard of the Civic Center, but that didn't seem noble enough. In a conversation with your very own City Oerk, she told me how the City of Dublin has fallen on hard times and has been unable to have flowers in the planters that lift the spirits of visitors to Dublin City "...- offices. Since I am pretty sure that many of those visitors need their spirits lifted, at least as they are... leaving, having Dave plant flowers in the planters seemed to be very noble. '\ 'j That is a pretty long explanation of why I am offering a gift to the City of Dublin. which though small, is intended to be noble and spirit.lifting. Who knows, the teSt of the Council members may want to join ~ ~ Nobly youn, ~ 1).. K~ Chris D. Kinzel d'm1 \, 4637 Chabot Drive.
