RECOMMENDATION~(\J Have Mayor acknowledge the effort of each of the Business Development W' Task Force members and present them with the Certificates of Appreciation. FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None DESCRIPTION: The Business Development Task Force was organized in January of 1994 as ajoint effort of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the City of Dublin. The primary purpose was to enhance .--.the business climate and to increase the betterment of the community. The committee met on a regular , .'. basis making recommendations to City Staff and the City Council on issues of importance to the business c0111Illunity. The Task Force made a recommendation of hiring a full time Economic Development Manager. In January of 1995, the City hired their first Economic Development Manager. The Task Force continued meeting with the Economic Development Manager on a regular basis reviewing goals and objectives for the City and providing valuable input on economic development issues critical to the City of Dublin. At the September 1995 meeting of the Business Development Task Force, it was decided that the objectives of the Task Force had been met, thus ending the need for the Task Force. Members of the Task Force continue to offer their support and availability if additional meetings are needed. Members of the Task Force included: Bill Foster (Chairman), Ken Harvey, Al Hunter, Don Johnson, Ron Nahas, Kathi Schultz, Dan Straface, Gene Strom, Rex Rufener, Maureen Nokes, Robert Enea, John Mason, Karen Jacobs, Janet Lockhart, Bob Fasulkey and J. David Bradley.
