WHEREAS, Vince Harris has served as the Executive Director of the Alameda County Transportation Authority
in Oakland since 1995, and as Deputy Director for Project Development for the Transportation Authority from
1988 to 1995; and
WHEREAS, Vince Harris has been responsible for the overctJl management of the agency and the
implementation of the County's 1/2 Percent Sales Tax Transportation Program, which provides revenues for
transit capital and highway improvements, local street and road Improvements, and transit and para transit
operations; and
WHEREAS, Vince has been instrumental in working with local agencies to commence work with 1-580/1-680
Interchange improvements; and

WHEREAS, Vince Harris announced his plans to return to the phvate sector as a transportation engineer; and
WHEREAS, such distinguished and committed service to the public should not go unrecognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED that the Dublin City Council expresses its sincere appreciation for the
time and effort expended by Vince Harris in serving the needs of our valley and extends its best wishes in his
future endeavors.
