DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA

WHEREAS, participation in organized athletics helps to build character and teaches a sense of fair
play and good sportsmanship among our youth; and
WHEREAS, the Dublin Little League Senior Major Division "White Sox" team consists of 11 young
men who have won the District 57 Tournament of Champions for 1996; and
WHEREAS, Manager Leroy Maes has demonstrated skill, leadership, and ability by directing the
Dublin Little League "White Sox" to their District title; and
WHEREAS, players Jesse Beal, Erik Brundage, Justin Bryant, Jarrod Cox, Matthew Gartner, Robert
Jackson, Grant Johnson, Anthony Maes, Sean Parker, Ryan Van Emmerik, and Robert Whitaker are
to be commended for their success and skill in the sport of baseball.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED that I, Guy S. Houston, Mayor of Dublin, do hereby
recognize and congratulate the Dublin Little League Senior Major Division "White Sox" on their
District title and wish them the best of luck in their future sporting endeavors.
