FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: The City has received a letter from John R. Rusmisel, District
. Manage: ofth~ Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District advising that Dr. Harvey Scudder's term of
. office will expIre on January 2, 1996. .
Dr. Scudder, who has served on this Board since 1983 has indicated a willingness to continue to serve in
this capacity. His new term will expire on January 2, 1998.
When contacted, Dr. Scudder also indicated he would like to give the City Council a very brief update on
regional and state activities as they relate to disease control and health issues.

The Board of Trustees of the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District
instructed me at their meeting of November 8, 1995 to notify you that the term of office
of Dr. Harvey Scudder, as trustee of this District, expires January 2, 1996. We
respectfully request an appointment be made prior to the expiration date for the two-
year term of trustee of this District representing the City of Dublin.
Dr. Harvey Scudder has diligently served on our Board since August 2, 1983. His
professional expertise in the fields of entomology and public health is of great value to
the District.
We shall appreciate your sending us a certified copy of your resolution appointing
your trustee to our Board for the term ending January 2, 1998.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE
ALAMEDA COUNTY MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin is authorized to appoint one member of the Board
of Trustees of the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District; and
WHEREAS, the term for the current appointee expires on January 2, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the term of this appointment shall be from January 3, 1996 through
January 2, 1998; and
WH~REAS, Harvey Scudder has expressed a willingness to be re-appointed and
to serve thIS new term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin City Council hereby
afpoints Harvey I. Scudder, Ph.D., as Board of Directors Trustee representing the City
o Dublin on the Mosquito Abatement District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall forward a certified copy of .,.
this Resolution to the Alameda County MOSqUIto Abatement District.
